Purpose of Position
This position tracks, schedules, updates, and coordinates maintenance requirements on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events. Communicates with Pilots and provides technical support and advice to ensure aircraft is airworthy. Enforces all FAA regulations and EJM procedures on fleet and communicate any issues with EJM internal and external customers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensures that all Maintenance performed on EJM aircraft is compliant with FAA Regulations and Manufacture maintenance procedures. Ensure EJM’s General Operating Manual rules are followed. Verify proper documentation is received, reviewed and updated prior to release. Work with OEM and MRO Quality departments ensuring that all paperwork received meets EJM standards.
- Verify individuals performing maintenance are approved and have appropriate ratings and training for the work being performed. Perform accurate data inputs for maintenance performed in computerized tracking system - Maintenix. This includes activating and cancelling the correct tasks per the MFR chapter 5 inspection program. Release aircraft upon completion of mx tasks and return a/c to service.
- Ensure maintenance providers performing Airworthiness Release are current with EJM training. Assists the Director of Maintenance and Chief Inspector in monitoring maintenance in progress. Review maintenance due lists on fleet to ensure all inspections are scheduled and communicate to Flight OPS and Owner Services aircraft which may impact the aircraft's operational capability. Communicate with the vendor, provide work scopes and ensure training is up to date. Communicate aircraft status with multiple EJM departments and team members. Be capable approving a vendor for EJM Maintenance and AOG one-time use with minimal assistance.
- Assists the Chief Inspector in training Maintenance providers which includes RII Inspectors, and maintenance personnel on the use of EJM's CAMP Manuals, General Operations & Maintenance Manual, and MEL procedures. Assist pilots on maintenance questions and provide guidance on aircraft discrepancies and aircraft systems. AD and SB research to determine aircraft are up to date and airworthy. Audit aircraft due lists on fleet to ensure all due items are scheduled and communicated to other EJM departments.
- Ensure Maintenance lines are in IJet and aircraft are released only when all documentation is received, reviewed and approved. Ensure weight and balance documentation is reviewed and forwarded to the proper departments for updates to Ijet. Verifies aircraft parts for grounded aircraft are ordered and shipped in a timely manner. Authorize transportation and equipment to be arranged for maintenance personnel on AOG events. Support technicians on airframe and engine systems. Provide help to troubleshoot aircraft and supply supporting documents as needed for example Maintenance Manual, Parts and technical data. Be able to access all maintenance manual data for all aircraft models.

- Error free paperwork, this will be audited for airworthiness.
- Exposure to FAA Form 337’s, STC’s, ICA’s, W/B calculations, Equipment list changes.
- Computer skills in Maintenix; data entered for all maintenance tasks accomplished, component change requiring activation and cancelling proper tasks per MFR chapter 5.
- Good communication with pilots; good customer service skills to guide crew with technical data and help them interpret the MEL and how to properly document flight squawks.
- Ability to provide specialized support for a small group of aircraft.
- Ability to provide monthly reports and review due items weekly.
- Ability to schedule monthly maintenance and communicate with maintenance contact on these maintenance events.
