Purpose of Position
The Line Service Technician supports the daily facilitation of an aircraft while promoting the quality of the private aircraft ownership experience. Secondary emphasis is placed on the hangar facility and line equipment upkeep. The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Tasks and Responsibilities
- Aircraft Marshalling which consists of visual and verbal signaling with ground personal and crewmembers during movement operations turn, slow down, or stop the aircraft and may include signaling engine shutdown. Wing walking (for clearance of aircraft), tow tractor driving including parking of aircraft on ramps and in hangar facilities and chocking to secure aircraft movement.
- Aircraft hangar cleanliness including disposing of garbage, vacuuming, washing and polishing the interior and exterior of aircraft, stocking/restocking, removing and conducting general hangar and aircraft cleaning duties.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor reports of ground equipment used to service the aircraft between flights including tow tractors, lavatory and water carts, portable stairs, ground power cables/units, air conditioning or air carts, manlifts, etc.
- Load and unload passenger baggage, assist/provide transportation to and from aircraft, assist in winter operations including plowing and shoveling of service area and ramps, facilitate with crew turnaround requirements, provide fill in for Guest Services staff when needed.
- Utilize Flight Explorer Business Objectives/40. (for daily schedules) and/or coordinate with Supervisors over aircraft arrival and departure times, parking placement in hangar or on outside ramp
Education
Years of Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Mechanical ability as evidenced by work experience as an Auto mechanic or in aviation working on or around aircraft during line operations
- Valid state driver's license
- Towing Experience (nice to have)
