Purpose of Position

The Manager, Crew Training role ensures EJM Crew Qualifications processes are consistently met through maintaining internal relationships to balance and manage the operational needs against crew qualification requirements. They will maintain positive working relationships with the FAA, approved training centers, and internal departments to proactively ensure EJM remains compliant while meeting customer expectations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing and supporting Crew Training Coordinators in meeting tasks and workload management.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching/developing, and managing Crew Training Coordinator team members.
  • Process and reconcile payroll for Crew Training Coordinators.
  • Review and support Management Agreements toward ensuring all crewmember training requirements are met per customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with EJM Departments for customer onboarding and offboarding and associated crew qualification requirements with EJM’s approved Contract Training Providers.
  • Review and approve, reconciling when necessary, crewmember training invoices with the appropriate training vendor.
  • Coordinate and maintain EJM’s Company and Contract Check Pilot qualification processes between EJM, FAA, and Contract Training Provider teams.
  • Share after-hours and on-call availability with Director, Crew Training.
  • Monitor current process efficiency, recommend process improvement, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement process improvement as new solutions emerge.
  • Responsible for assuring that the company’s goals for safety, security and quality are met by continual compliance with the company Safety management System (SMS) program, and immediately reporting safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.

Bachelor's in Business Administration or Aviation

  • Previous experience scheduling and managing aircrew training and recordkeeping
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 61 and 135 training regulations 
  • Maintain proficiency and knowledge of EJM policies, as revised
  • Strong analysis and operations background preferred
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion
  • Proven ability to manage operational team members
