Purpose of Position
Support the Head of Security on the implementation, management and control of NetJets procedures to ensure that company staff and business partners perform with high levels of security in compliance with European and international regulations. Support as directed by the Head of Security the Front Desk Activities and Responsibilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare all aspects of aviation security training materials and deliver assuring full security compliance;
- Monitor and review the threats and risks of destinations used by NetJets to keep the list of restrictions and mitigating measures up to date;
- Ensure that the Security Department Jetstream webpage is updated on a regular basis;
- Conduct Security assessments and produce security briefings;
- Maintain a database and the control of issued NetJets Tamper Evident Security Seals and Aircraft Keys, ensuring they are delivered to the appropriate persons/organizations;
- Ensure access control to all NetJets Europe facilities (issuing access badges, vehicle assess control and others);
- Maintain all ICAO Crew Members Certificates (CMC) and NetJets Crew Member’s badges valid, according to the relevant EU and national regulation;
- Act as the operational point of contact for all building security related matters ensuring the Head of Security is aware of any threats that can compromise the security of NetJets’ employees and infrastructure;
- Ensure compliance with defined building security procedures including reviewing the daily security report and acting upon as necessary;
- Perform operational security surveys and assessments as deemed necessary (e.g. Airports, FBO’s, Hotel’s, others) and produce detailed reports and suggestions of corrective actions to ensure that all Company security procedures are implemented, and business partners are abiding to established standards;
- Perform Internal Audits when necessary, integrated in the NJE Security Quality Programme;
- Access to the day to day voluntary and mandatory reports and ad-hoc Aviation Security incidents involving NetJets property, crews and Owners to take the appropriate measures to solve and prevent future incidents;
- Provide just in time response to incidents (bomb threat assessments, SRP - Security Response Plan, others);
- Ensure that safety is a part of every job and activity. Support the safety and compliance programmes, ensuring that any issue that may affect them is appropriately reported;
- Other duties can be performed subject to being within the same professional career, considered related or functionally linked.
Core Competencies
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- 3 years’ experience in aviation, preferably in security operations or in other aviation sector related with security, namely in the scope of internal security, military security or other;
- Knowledge of Security Systems and Access controls;
- Preferential knowledge of in-flight and ground security;
- Preferential knowledge of aviation security legislation;
- Preferential Aviation Security Certification or equivalent authorization, including Train the Trainers Course, given by the National Civil Aviation Security Authority;
- Preferential Pedagogical Aptitude Training Course - IEFP Certified Trainer – CCP;
- Fluency in Portuguese and Business English (written and spoken);
- High Proficiency in MS Office.
