Purpose of Position

Responsible for the development and execution of procurement strategies for a set of Procurement Categories, according to the Company business objectives and for select, negotiate and contact with suppliers in response to business products or service requirements, to drive long-term improvements in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service and Innovation, while ensuring compliance to all relevant ethical, legal, regulatory requirements and business’ needs with the support and inputs of relevant stakeholders.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage several procurement categories of spending, define the most suitable strategies for each of them and it’s responsible for assuring that company’s global strategies are being implemented;
  • Elaboration of RFPs (Requesting for Proposal), to select the best and most cost-effective solution for the company;
  • Manage sourcing activities, participate and/or leads contract negotiations; 
  • Apply tools, techniques and processes to help manage the supplier relationship, identifies areas of improvement and/or corrective actions needed, related to assigned suppliers/categories;
  • Ensure that standard processes/policies for requests for information, requests for proposals, and contract documentation are being followed;
  • Interface with suppliers and internal business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication of specifications and product/service requirements, and track performance of cost saving initiatives;
  • Utilize operational and analytical experience to provide analysis of Procurement function trends and data, conduct network mapping, maintain supplier scorecards and appropriate metric dashboards for the department, provide ad hoc reports as requested and track supplier commitments.

  • 5 years of Procurement experience;
  • Solid knowledge of business and economic issues, cost structures and contracts;
  • Fluency in Business English (written and spoken);
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
