Title: EFB Information Specialist (NJE)

Purpose of Position
Support the administration of the EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) programme and associated systems within NetJets and NetJets UK. Ensure business continuity and, when required, act as the primary link between the operator and third parties (EFB system suppliers and Civil Aviation Authorities) for regulatory and technical support matters in coordination with the EFB Programme Manager.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Support the management of the portable EFB programme in liaison with the EFB Programme Manager, ensuring support to all users (especially crew members) to continuously improve the safety, efficiency and economics of flight operations;
• Develop, publish and amend the portable EFB procedures in conjunction with all stakeholders, for office staff and crews, to ensure access to relevant and up-to-date information;
• Plan, develop and coordinate flight crew training on the portable EFB system and its use, if appropriate, to ensure that all crew properly uses the EFB systems on all applicable NTA, NATUK and EJME aeroplanes;
• Liaise with IT to ensure that the hardware and software applications are configured in accordance with requirements established by the EFB Administrator;
• Liaise with all the applications and database providers to ensure that the portable EFB is always serviced with updated and accurate standards and databases;
• Perform routine monitoring of the EFB systems for quality control and compliance with legal and company requirements and report to the EFB Administrator and Operations management status of database currency, software and standards compliance;
• Continuously develop the EFB Programme by performing service reviews with key users and proactively identifying and assessing new application/hardware requirements; and requesting operational approval to Civil Aviation Authorities to implement new features in coordination with the EFB Administrator;
• Interface with regulatory bodies and providers of EFB hardware/software to ensure products satisfy accuracy and other technical requirements established by relevant authorities;
• Ensure that safety is a part of every job and activity. Support the safety and compliance programmes, ensuring that any issue that may affect them is appropriately reported;

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering (or Aerospatiale, Electronics, Electrotechnics, Telecommunications or Computer Sciences) or Pilot license (CPL or ATPL) or equivalent/relevant experience;
• Experience in project management (preferred);
• Experience in a similar position (EFB) in aviation industry (preferred);
• Knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations (specifically in EFB or Avionics, preferred);
• Knowledge of commercial aircraft operations in Europe;
• Experience in database management or document management (preferred);
• Experience providing application support to end users (preferred);
• Good proficiency in MS Office;
• Fluency in business English (written and spoken).
