Title:  Flight Data Monitoring Analyst (NJE)

Purpose of Position

Develop and maintain an effective flight data analysis programme to identify operational safety hazards and support NetJets safety risk management activities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Upload, validate and maintain flight and IJET data in the Flight Data Monitoring Programme (FDMP);
• Develop analysis methods of flight data to identify potential operational safety risks;
• Create and provide customised feedback to crew members concerning their performance relative to the standard operating procedures, based on flight data;
• Conduct safety analysis, using flight data, with the aim of identifying operational safety hazards and assess any associated risks to NetJets operations;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the risk management of safety hazards and safety issues, by preparing and presenting relevant flight data analysis results;
• Develop innovative solutions to customise flight data analysis to NetJets operations;
• Maintain contact and support industry flight data forums to ensure that NetJets continues to develop and implement best practice;
• Collaborate with operational departments to develop risk mitigating safety action plans based on flight data;
• Monitor and report airworthiness issues to the Maintenance department;
• Collaborate with the Maintenance and Ops Planning departments to ensure a high rate of data acquisition;
• Manage the introduction of new fleets to the FDMP, including the review of airworthiness limitations, standard operating procedures and validation of Data Frame Layouts.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

• 3 years previous aviation related experience, preferably in Flight Data Monitoring;
• Advanced knowledge of relational database management;
• Knowledge of programming, preferably on statistics and data mining;
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and operational procedures;
• Fluency in Business English (written and spoken);
• Proficiency in MS Office.
