Title: Payroll Specialist

Purpose of Position
Provide NJE employees with information, that could range from onboarding, personnel administrative, payroll queries, time management, policy support, and offboarding (employee lifecycle), ensuring exceptional customer service, within the pre-defined SLA, accuracy and adherence to the defined processes and EU labour laws.
Act as the preferred point of contact of employees (Crew and Office staff) for topics related to personal employment matters, either providing an answer or liaising with other internal areas to then provide an answer.
Maintain the HR/Payroll Management System updated (and all other relevant data bases), process payroll, tax and social security payments in an accurate and timely manner and guarantee the monthly payroll data integration into the Accounting System, according to company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and obligations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide all employees with HR expert assistance in queries related to employment management information (e.g. new hires / onboarding, compensation, transfers, benefits, employment contracts, absenteeism, vacations, overtime, offboarding, etc.). When necessary, liaise with internal areas to be able to provide an answer to the employee;
- Ensure full usage of the different HR channels available: email, phone, Employee self-service tool, face to face;
- Process the monthly payroll and any other salaries exceptional payments for NetJets employees, in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring strict compliance with all legal requirements;
- Process the tax and social security payment for NetJets employees to ensure compliance with fiscal and legal obligations and make the corresponding payments within the relevant deadlines;
- In partnership with the existing local payroll providers, ensure all EU social security requirements are met regarding reporting, calculation analysis and make the corresponding local payments within the relevant deadlines;
- Ensure the elaboration of the required documents, in accordance to the Tax and SS requirements defined by the Tax and Social Security Specialist to ensure NetJets compliance with applicable EU laws, by communicating and keeping track of relevant processes (Social Security, Tax residency, etc);
- Keep payroll records ensuring accuracy, consistency of the records and transparency and guarantee relevant departments within NetJets receive all the required information;
- Generate the relevant files and reports to enable the salary information be integrated into the Accounting system;

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- University degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or other relevant;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role;
- Good knowledge of Portuguese Labour Law, Tax and Social Security regulations/ Payroll calculation rules;
- Knowledge of EU social security regulations is an advantage;
- Preferential knowledge of UK Labour Law, Tax and Social Security regulations/ Payroll calculation rules;
- Fluency in Business English (written and spoken);
