Purpose of Position

The Procurement Database Specialist collects analyses and consolidates data for maintaining Procurement databases, ensuring integrity of information, in order to comply with internal needs. The Procurement Database Specialist enters data into databases or other computerised systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and pricing information. The Procurement Database Specialist is also responsible for the Fuel Tool process, to ensure the calculation and update of fuel prices in financial databases, and for the for the review of fuel invoices which are not automatically approved.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Control, updates, and improves commercial and pricing data to allow billing to Owners and invoice validation, via Commercial Database;
  • Controls the Fuel Tool process, to support the fuel price calculation, and reviews fuel invoices whenever necessary;
  • Contact, as necessary, current and potential suppliers to collect information and maintain efficient relationships, in order to ensure validity of data;
  • Liaise, as necessary, with internal teams (primarily Billing and Accounts Payable) for Commercial Database updating and invoice price validations, following up where required with suppliers;
  • Elaborate low value/ low complexity RFPs (Requesting For Proposal), proposal analysis and contract award recommendation
