Purpose of Position

The Aviation Emergency Response Program (AERP) Manager is responsible for the continued development, implementation, testing and maintenance of NetJets’ AERP.  The AERP Manager will collaborate across the corporation to ensure each AERP Team is adequately trained and prepared to respond as needed.  The AERP Manager will oversee contractors and their support services as they relate to the AERP.  The AERP Manager is primarily responsible for the development and execution of AERP training, drill and team composition to ensure continued readiness to respond to an accident.  Additional duties include oversight of the family assistance program to ensure employee support following injury or other traumatic events while traveling for company business.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and publish revisions to the Aviation Emergency Response Program to ensure continuous improvement and readiness to respond as needed to an aircraft accident or significant incident.  
  • Develop, implement, administer and/or facilitate the training of AERP team members, alternates, and NetJets employees as required to ensure adequate knowledge of AERP processes and procedures. Develop and maintain team member rosters and contact lists.  Develop, coordinate, and facilitate AERP exercises to test effectiveness of the plan.  Identify improvement opportunities and conduct post-exercise reports.
  • Manage the assistance of employees injured or exposed to other traumatic events while on duty.  This includes the facilitation of transportation home, referral to counseling and other support activities as necessary to ensure the well-being of the employee.
  • Interface with Owners as needed to integrate emergency response processes where appropriate including the development and maintenance of Owner interaction protocols at the request of the Owner.
  • Collaborate with other NetJets affiliates to ensure appropriate levels of integration between respective emergency response plans.


Bachelor's in Business Administration or Aviation
