Purpose of Position

The Fleet Supervisor, Maintenance leads their team of Maintenance Controllers to manage and monitor the progress of maintenance on their respective assigned aircraft.  The Fleet Supervisor, Maintenance is responsible to coordinate with their assigned aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and third party maintenance suppliers to ensure the accomplishment of maintenance or alterations are completed in accordance with all FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company objectives.  Acts with full authority in the maintenance oversight of their assigned fleet.  The Fleet Supervisor, Maintenance is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and all company policies as outlined in the NJA 14 CFR 135 General Maintenance Manual for NetJets aircraft maintenance.  This is a 24/7/365 position and individuals must be flexible in working with this type of scheduling.  

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manages team of Maintenance Controllers who monitor maintenance events and compliance with NetJets Maintenance Policies, FAA Regulations, and local maintenance regulations.  Coordinates aircraft maintenance issues with the OEM and if necessary escalates the information to the following groups: NetJets Maintenance Training, Quality Assurance, Safety, Tooling, Materials Management, Flight Operations and Flight Scheduling.
  • Through constant communication with the assigned OEM, stays informed of the day-to-day, minute-to-minute operation, including delays, cancellations, and significant events.  Follows up on solutions for outstanding aircraft problems.
  • Ensures the on-duty Maintenance Duty Manager and General Manager Maintenance Control Center are notified of unusual circumstances.  Coordinates with the General Manager, Maintenance Control Center of new problems and status of corrective action plans.
  • Performs any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and NetJets Aviation (NJA) objectives.
