Purpose of Position

The primary role of this position is to administer all Crew Leaves of Absence and Worker's Compensation for all of NetJets' employee population (Union & Non-Union). LOA's include: medical, FMLA, STD, LTD and Bereavement. This position will coordinate all LOA's and any Worker's Compensation payments with the Payroll Dept as well as Department Managers and Flight Operations when necessary.   This position will also be responsible to support any other LOA requests that may come into the Benefits Department.  The LOA/Worker's Compensation Administrator is responsible to remain proficient in the laws and regulations surrounding FMLA, medical and military LOA's. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day administration of all Crew Leave of Absence requests. This includes, but not limited to: review vendor application, employer supplementation forms, and medical documentation paperwork to ensure the request meets legal requirements, maintain proper LOA documentation to support LOA approvals for the appropriate leave type. 
  • Maintain professionalism and compassion while ensuring LOA's are compliant with federal and corporate LOA policies. 
  • Maintain contact with employees out on LOA to provide ongoing support for their LOA situation and be a point of contact during their LOA and clearly communicate timelines and direction for employee on LOA to ensure proper documentation and a successful return to work. 
  • Maintain communication with Supervisor/Manager of employees leave and verify return to work. Coordinate with HRBP, Supervisor/Manager and legal if necessary for accommodation requests.
  • Work with external Vendor Partners and internal/external Legal Counsel to ensure compliance and that employees are compensated correctly. 
  • Accurately save and key time leave codes in LOA systems for accurate Operations Scheduling and Payroll accuracy.  
  • Review monthly LOA reporting and bi-weekly payroll reporting to ensure accuracy and identify retro-active errors / corrections that need made.

  • Experience in LOA Administration or combination of Benefits and Payroll experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Windows based programs.
