Purpose of Position

The Safety Investigations Manager assists the Director, Ground Safety in the execution of the comprehensive NetJets Safety Program.  This includes investigating safety incidents and accidents, and facilitating the Safety Risk Management (SRM) Process.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety investigations of accidents, incidents, and irregular events and formulate recommendations to the business based on the findings. Investigations maybe conducted on site or remotely preformed.
  • Facilitate Safety Risk Management process, conduct safety risk analysis, and monitor the effectiveness of safety risk controls. Interface with operational departments to ensure standardization of safety risk analysis and control across all areas.  Lead Risk Assessments involving multiple departments.
  • Analyze technical data for trends related to hazards, incidents, accidents, and irregular events.
  • Identify and work with Operational Departments to implement Safety Enhancements.  
  • Conduct safety training for various employee groups.
  • Assist with Safety Meeting development and execution.

Education

Bachelor's in Aviation Management or Business Administration

Certifications and Licenses

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P)

  • Must be able to work independently and use independent discretion and judgment
  • Exposure to responding to irregular events as well as identifying, evaluating and writing risk assessments for said events
  • Familiarity with safety analysis, trending and risk assessment
  • Ability to use sound judgment in analyzing reports, assessing risks and making recommendations

  • Detail oriented characteristics with an ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities

  • Able to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations with a working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
