Purpose of Position
The Director, Finance R2R for SAP Implementation will play a key role in leading the global design, configuration, and execution of the Record to Report (R2R) processes during the SAP S/4 HANA implementation. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure the R2R processes are successfully mapped, configured, and tested in SAP, aligning with both financial best practices and organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience leading end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA Record to Report transformations, driving global process optimization, and possess a deep understanding of accounting processes and systems integration. Additionally, they will possess proven experience in establishing and managing enterprise-level governance structure for SAP Finance Transformations, ensuring consistent oversight and management of SAP applications across global operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead the design, configuration, and testing of the Record to Report (R2R) global processes within SAP during the implementation phase.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive R2R strategy that aligns with the organizations financial goals and objectives.
Manage and mentor a team of Finance Specialists, ensuring they are well trained on and equipped SAP S/4 HANA Record to Report to support the implementation and ongoing operation.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP R2R and finance processes, addressing complex issues and providing long-term solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of SAP S/4 HANA with existing systems and processes.
Identify opportunities to automate or improve R2R processes using SAP functionality or third-party tools.
Lead data migration efforts for financial master data and transactional data during S/4 HANA implementations ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, implementing robust controls and governance framework.
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including finance, IT, and business teams, to provide status updates, identify risks, and manage expectations.
Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management on financial reporting and analysis, leveraging SAP S/4 HANA capabilities to drive business insights and decision making.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
o Minimum 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a global or multi-country organization.
o Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role focused on delivering global process optimization and system integration, particularly within the R2R process area
o Demonstrated experience leading end to end SAP S/4HANA Record to Report implementations in a global or multi-country organizations, driving global process optimization.
o Experience managing operational accounting areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
o Proven experience in defining and global policies, procedures, and frameworks for the governance of SAP applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, financial integrity, and industry standards.
o Hands-on experience in designing and implementing a global service delivery model that supports SAP S/4 HANA applications across regions, ensuring efficiency scalability and responsiveness,
o Strong knowledge of accounting processes and principles (GAAP, IFRS) in the context of SAP systems.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
o Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
