Purpose of Position
The Director, Finance R2R for an ERP Implementation will play a key role in leading the global design, configuration, and execution of the Record to Report (R2R) processes during the implementation. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure that R2R processes are successfully mapped, configured, and tested in the new ERP system, aligning with financial best practices and organizational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading end-to-end Record to Report transformations, driving global process optimization, and possessing a deep understanding of accounting processes and systems integration. Additionally, they will have proven experience in establishing and managing enterprise-level governance structures for finance transformations, ensuring consistent oversight and management of the new applications across global operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and testing of Record to Report (R2R) global processes during the implementation phase.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive R2R strategy that aligns with the organization’s financial goals and objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of Finance Specialists, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to support the implementation and ongoing operation of the R2R process.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for R2R and finance processes, addressing complex issues and providing long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of the new system with existing processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate or improve R2R processes using system functionality or third-party tools.
- Lead data migration efforts for financial master data and transactional data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and governance throughout the implementation.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including finance, IT, and business teams, to provide status updates, identify risks, and manage expectations.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management on financial reporting and analysis, leveraging system capabilities to drive business insights and decision-making.

- Minimum 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a global or multi-country organization.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, focused on delivering global process optimization and system integration, particularly within the R2R process area.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) implementations in a global or multi-country organization, driving global process optimization.
- Experience managing operational accounting areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Proven experience in defining global policies, procedures, and frameworks for the governance of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, financial integrity, and industry standards.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing a global service delivery model that supports enterprise systems across regions, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes and principles (GAAP, IFRS) in the context of enterprise financial systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
