Title: Material Coordinator (NJUS)

Purpose of Position
The Material Coordinator position provides immediate AOG/Critical materials support by coordinating logistic activities required to move AOG parts in a time critical and cost conscious environment. This is a career level position requiring technical and/or business experience and education.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assess, prioritize and execute AOG material request workload.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Control Supervisor to identify AOG parts requirements and determines the best method of obtaining parts utilizing company inventoriesCoordinate and communicate aircraft parts, technical and logistics updates to Maintenance Control.
- Evaluate global inventory positions for component requirement fulfillment and evaluate “move vs. buy” decisions.
- Evaluate parts being procured to ensure compliance with all Federal regulations and Company policies regarding quality, documentation and traceability.
- Maintain records of all transactions identifying in detail originating requests, authorizations, source of supply, costs, shipping method etc.
- Support the daily activities of the Operations Center by procuring components, equipment and supplies in a time critical aircraft operations environment.
- Identify and execute warranty claims with supplier partners.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to eliminate/reduce flight delays and cancellations due to parts demands.
- Initiate and monitor shipment of parts and materials to support overnight aircraft maintenance requirements
- Communicate logistics status updates and delivery details to Maintenance Control.
- Coordinate air charter logistics activities to support out of service aircraft, materials and mechanics.
- Understand U.S. Export Control policy and processes to ensure compliance with applicable export regulations.

- Experience in material expediting and/or material logistics in a global aviation environment.
- Familiarity with industry regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of transportation/logistical means to expedite movement of materials.
